When you're me {a single mom who works 40 hours and has about 4 full days a month to herself } the opportunity for full on girl weekends and chances to put on little black dresses and go out doesn't present itself too often. So, because this is true when by birthday rolled around this year...the agenda was more than clear to me. I knew what I needed...a weekend with good girlfriends that would include, a little black dress, a night out, and a whole lot of fun and laughing...I needed to reclaim the truth that birthdays do not suck.

Do I tell you that my friends brought me presents!?...really I didn't know 32 year old women received presents on their birthday...but this one did! I was so surprised and touched that they decided to bless me in this way!
Do I tell you about not the one awesome dress I wore...but the 2 awesome and perfect dresses that I wore? Because you know a lot changes from day to night so a mid day outfit change is sometimes completely necessary...am I right, or am I right!

I.GOT.THAT.AND.SO.MUCH.MORE
It's been over a week since we celebrated and my heart is still happy and giggly about it all!!!
I don't know where to begin first!!!
Do I tell you that the weather was completely amazing!?! It was absolutely perfect in my book...about 80 degrees, sunny and fabulous! Perfect dress weather!
Do I tell you how full my heart felt that everyone cleared their calenders for me?... That my cousin is in the thick of almost graduating a crazy medical program and still drove almost 3 hours each way, and made the choice that studying would just have to wait! Do I tell you that my friends brought blow up mattresses to sleep on because my house is no mansion and extra beds are not a commodity I have!

Do I tell you about the freebie bottle of champagne I was given at our first winery because it was my birthday? Do I tell you about the spray on tattoo I got there, that my girlfriend was convinced I needed! Do I tell you about "Brad" at the second winery we visited....{hmmm, no I better keep that one under wraps!}
Do I tell you about the ah-mazing sushi that we dined on after our wine tasting adventures?
Do I tell you about how great it felt to step out of the car, rocking the perfect dress and shoes, with your favorite friends right behind you ready to just have some funnnnn!? Supermodel moment!
Do I tell you about how the bartender "somehow" got invited to join us on our dancing adventures later that night, and that I might have..........been glad to have him as my dance partner now and again that evening.
Do I tell you that we did the dang thing!... in the classy, 30 year old grown chick type of way of course!
Do I tell you that this time, with these girls was the funnest and best time I've had in FARRRR TOOO LONNGGG!? As I said previous to this night happening, yes this would be a night to celebrate a birthday, but more importantly it was a night to celebrate friendship and be with the girls who have helped me get through the thickest life junk I've yet to walk through.
And so....my mission has been accomplished, my checklist has been checked...my heart, it is happy!
