Hey Guys!! Happy March! {say what, it's already March!?}
You know...this blog helps me in a lot of ways, one being it helps me remember that sometimes I don't need a clearly executed step by step plan to move forward...to speak. As I contemplated writing today my first thoughts were that I didn't have a "message" or an "event" in particular to share with you. I've said before that I do want this blog to hold some form of value for those of you who come and read here...I truly appreciate that out of one zillion other blogs out there as well as the busy lives that you all lead, that you find the time to come read my words and share in this thing called life with me. It really honors me.

As I contemplated writing today my first thoughts were that I didn't have a "message" or an "event" in particular to share with you. I've said before that I do want this blog to hold some form of value for those of you who come and read here...I truly appreciate that out of one zillion other blogs out there as well as the busy lives that you all lead, that you find the time to come read my words and share in this thing called life with me. It really honors me.
So when I didn't have a particular direction of what I wanted to write on today I was reminded about a thought and feeling that's been pressing upon me...
Each of our lives speaks something, multiple things actually, but often there is an overarching message, or feeling to each of us, and the way we live our lives.
Lately has been another time of a lot of reflection happening in my life...I've been stirring on the last few years of the life I've lived. Remembering when I first felt my "message" becoming clear. It was when I felt that clear message, that this blog was born. That first message was that through the imperfect things that happen in our life, some sort of "perfect" will in fact form out of that imperfect moment, situation, time or season. A blessing isalways hidden somewhere. The thing is sometimes the blessing is hidden and you must choose to look for it. My life continues to be guided by this thought.
As time has gone on that original message has branched off and expanded. The biggest thing for me at this point is choosing to live a life of joy.... no matter what. The thing about that is the"no matter what" part. I think it's obvious from the things I share here on the blog that I'm not the girl with the perfect life...far from it, so because of that I have multiple opportunities to practice that "no matter what" thing. The best way I've found to do that is by living a life of thanksgiving and finding a blessing anywhere and everywhere I can.
If you follow me on instagram, you might have seen me using the extremely long hashtag #thesimplethingsarethebestthings which is my way of tracking those special things, moments, and times that remind me I'm blessed and keep my joy juice dripping. As time has gone on, the things, the moments and the time have become more and more simple. I'm convinced we don't need much or a perfect life to live one fullofjoy.
So, it is my hope that this little life that I live does whisper a dash of hope, to live a joyfully, blessed, messy and beautiful life in spite of {fill in the blank}.
