a cute dress and champagne!? #winning |
So last year when the opportunity presented itself, and I was able to move to a climate that was even warmer than the one that I had just been living in...I jumped right on that! So now I'm living in the best of both worlds, my toes genuinely need cute boots in the winter and adorable open toed shoes in the summer! #heyyeahh
This upcoming summer will be the first one I'll be spending with a settled life in my new home, in my new city! Sooo here are a few things that I'm stoked about this summer!
~Dresses--I love cute little spring and summer dresses. Makes me feel fancy without tryin' too hard ya know!
~ So if I'm excited for dresses then obviously I'm excited for the cute shoes that must accompany them! This winter my toesies have been covered in cute boots, but now they're anxiously awaiting summer and some cute sandals and wedges to cover them!
~Warm nights--This was another big deal when I chose to re-locate. Warm weather just makes me stinkin' happy...warm nights, even happier! I love staying outside late into the evening and having it still be warm! Where I live now the summer nights are so warm and beautiful. Sweatshirts are not a requirement! #stoked
~Water activities and bathing suits--I live closer to 2 lakes now, which is awesome if California had gotten more than 5 drops of rain this winter. Sadly our lakes are dry so what this means is that my kid and I will be pass holders at the local waterpark this summer! I'm super stoked to spend lots of weekends here with him soaking up a ton of sun and having fun together!
~Outdoor concerts--I have been waiting allllllll year for these! Again, my area has amazing, warm nights...and there are outdoor concerts twice a week. They're both a perfect balance of genuine family fun and grown up relax, hang out sesh's...super excited for these to start!
~Beer--yeah...beer. Could I drink beer year round? Technically, yeah, but it is just not quite the same when your freezin' your butt off in ugg boots and a parka! Summer is the time when a cold beer with dinner is extra amazing!
~Friends--Soo I am seriously crossing my fingers, toes, and praying to Jesus that my very best friend is able
to move back home (just a few minutes away from me) this summer! This chick and I can do anything together and find ourselves laughing so hard we've both gotta use our inhalers! I love, love her and hope that we are spending lots of time this summer cracking up together!
~The boy--Although I don't have the luxury of taking the summer off (if I still want to have a house, eat and drive my car) so I will be working while my son has the summer off....but, none the less, I'm still veryexcited to have this summer with him! Last summer we had fun, but we were still in the thick of life transitioning from the old to the new. Now that life has settled in and down, I am stoked to have a whole season of warm weather, sunny days and light hearted adventurous times with him. As always spending time with him continues to be my favorite thing ever...I'm sure we'll be out at a lot of fishing holes, spending time with his friends, playing in water, and most likely even a little road trip or two! Yay for adventures with cool kids!
