Heyyy guys! So you might have noticed that I've been using the extremely long hashtag #thesimplethingsarethebestthings on instagram or twitter as I've shared bits and pieces of my life with you. This thought of the simple things being the best things can make the ordinary, extraordinary. It causes you to look deeper into things, people and what's already surrounding you...and you know what, when you look for it...amazingness is always there, somewhere. Recently my little dude wanted to do some fishing, so we packed up in the car and headed out. Watching this boy with his pole in the water and doing his thing with his fishing equipment is pretty darn cute! The spot where we went to fish is typically always windy and chilly, but on the evening we went out it was amazing! The weather was warm, the sun was shining and it was quiet......just me and my buddy out there on the water's edge. Towards the end of the evening as I looked at the water I noticed the sparkles dancing on the water. As I looked at that, I just giggled! What a beautiful treat it was. The sparkles glimmered so bright, they flickered and moved so quickly. It was beautiful. Here I was on a warm, sunny and quiet evening...with my boy.... and God as he danced the sun beams off the water for me. He knew what I needed. He knew what would speak to me. And he provided it, beauty....simplicity.
