Well, I've been keeping things pretty simple around here on Fridays recently...and that sounds like a good way to keep things going, don't you agree?! Mostly I just wanted to pop in and say hello to you all! This blogging thing has hit a really good streak for me lately, mostly because I get to interact with you fine people. I love being able to chit chat with you on twitter, or share in the latest snapshot of your life on instagram. We've got a pretty cool community here and for that I am thankful!

The only thing I really have to say before signing off for the weekend is that I had a pretty fabulous week! It was kinda meant to be when Monday kicked off so special. I turned 32 on Monday and was overwhelmed with the love, and kindness that was shown to me from so many different directions. My day was a fabulous mix of ordinary and not, the weather was ah-mazing and so I was a happy camper. Also, because birthdays=cake I made sure that I went out and got myself some from that fine bakery affordable place known as Vons.
**Quick story here: While I was there trying to decide which type of cake I needed, I found myself giggling...the reason being I realized that this is the first time I've actually had to choose. This is the first time that I haven't had my husband cake eating partner. You see, our style was to get 2 types of cakes and share, so we could have that variety thing going on! When I recalled this memory it simply brought a chuckle to my heart as I remembered us eating cake like some fat kids in bed. The reason this is "storyworthy" is because it proves that major healing has occurred. If I find myself reflectively chuckling at a past memory of myself and my husband versus crying or getting pissed then that's some gold star progress right there!
And in final news I am very much still reflecting on this. I truly can't believe the change that's happened within me over the last year. It is written all over my face and presence. Holy freakin' smokes, this girl that I am now, I like her, she cool!
