When your vanilla latte makes you cry

I think divorce can quickly have you feeling like you could possibly be suffering from bi-polar or some sort of mental illness! One day you are tears and couch bound and the next your jammin out to your radio, booty shakin in the seat of your car feeling like you're about to take over the world!
I'm sure you can guess which one I prefer!
Well Friday presented me one of those unstoppable, purely joyful mornings and let me tell you how happy I was to have it! You might have seen that last post, the one where I showed you how cute I look when I'm crying {that was pure sarcasm folks} well that "bleck"feeling has still kinda been with me.
 But Friday...ohhh Friday was awe-SOME!
Let's talk a bit about that shallllll we!?! So I don't know what it was, but Friday when I opened my eyes I was just happy! The morning rolled smoothly and I had already decided before I left my house that I was hooking myself up with a latte before my day officially got started {hello gift cards to Starbucks!} Typically when I do the Starbucks thing I go for a regular latte, love em' but Friday I decided to go with one of my old fav's,.....the vanilla latte. So they handed me my cup and what did it have on the sleeve?
FALL LEAVES AND FALL COLORS!!

Swoon, and happy heart!!!! Fall is almost here!!! Now some days the thought of Fall coming will make me bawl my eyes out...but this morning it made me EXCITED!!! This caused for an immediate shout out to God for all that he's blessed me with! I hopped on the freeway and there I got the first sip of my totally, completely, incredible, amazing and any other rad word....latte! I kid you not when I took that first sip of coffee I shed a tear. Jayden informed me that I could not have a total melt down over my latte in the car because I was in fact driving and the tears could impair my vision. Good point Jay, so I did not continue the crying episode but my heart was full...Like really full! Once again I was reminded through this $4 cup of steamed milk and coffee that
the simple things...are the best things.
P.S. that photo up there about happiness....I recommend that you follow Miss Emily on instagram!
She's got such a fun, inspiration and beautiful mix of what she shares with all of us on her feed!

Over the last few years I've been in a place where I was almost forced to weed out the fluff. What I mean by that is that I didn't have a bank account that had many zeros behind the first number. What living through that time showed me is one of my greatest blessings. It showed me what really and truly mattered, the genuine love and bond of family and friends who will do anything for you. Secondly it showed me what "things" really did and didn't matter to me. It gave me the opportunity to find huge blessings in small things...like a Starbucks latte. That time showed me that you truly don't need much to find complete happiness in your life. If you're loving fully and being loved in return fully...you're doin' pretty dayum good!
When you're already full with the things that matter, and you get blessed, your cup just runs over with extra goodness! You're full to the brim! It's good friends...it's good! So if you haven't ever...maybe take some time and decide what are those few "golden things" in your life that just make it all better!? Find them and appreciate them for the simple yet big blessings that they are!
