We temporarily interrupt the regular scheduled happy post that should be appearing here this Wednesday to give you the update that Miss Shannon Q. once again has her sad pants on this week. Yes, this is in fact true folks...she's feeling sad and tears have fallen down her cheeks on multiple occasions this past week. She is being flooded with memories, questions and is feeling the pain of a family that once lived under one roof now living under two separate ones.
Miss Shannon has just entered the final stages of time before her divorce is finalized....which should be just days prior to Thanksgiving mind you. The feeling of a divorce does not make her heart thankful, it makes it sad. She will then move into December an officially single woman...just in time to bring in what would be her 7th wedding anniversary and Christmas.
Her reality breaks her heart....THIS.IS.ABOUT.TO.BE.A.DONE.DEAL
While this truth might be a cause to bust out the champagne for one party, it is a heart breaker for the other.
We are happy to report that during this time Miss Shannon's joy still remains intact. She holds on to truths such as psalm 34:18 that reminds her that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he rescues those who's spirits are crushed. She now understands that sadness, brokenness, grief and pain are all necessary things she must feel, and process in order to come to a place of wholeness. These emotions hurt immensely, but she is also aware that these same emotions, that after hurting her, will heal her...She must feel, and feel fully, in order to purge the feelings, the memories, and heal the sting. She knows how she is loved by her God, and continues to do her best to trust his timing, his process and his promises. She continues to believe that her heart and passion for family, marriage and children was put there for a reason. She believes that although those areas appear to be broken into pieces God will ultimately restore them in a beautiful way.
